STEAM Fair is an event organized for different secondary schools across Nigeria to showcase various STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) related projects. This type of event contributes towards Sustainable Development Goal 4 which is to “ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all”; as well as increase STEAM literacy for all Students including those who do not pursue related careers, understanding that personal and societal decisions in the 21st century increasingly require scientific and technological understanding.
This is an initiative of the Big Idea Project Nigeria; in partnership with StoneBricks Innovation Hub; aimed at social contribution to enable primary&secondary schools, across Nigeria showcase, collaborate and create an atmosphere for global STEM/STEAM awareness. The National STEAM Fair 2019 is scheduled to take place in May 2019.
